Born in New York, raised across the American South and Georgia (the birthplace of Mr. Brown), Guy Kelton Jones is an artist shaped by movement, music, and meaning.
He began performing poetry at age 4, musical theatre by 8, and has since built a globe-spanning career rooted in soul, storytelling, and truth. With a voice that captivates and presence that commands, Guy brings fire and finesse to every role he steps into. He hasn’t just learnt to play James Brown - it’s at the core of who he is.

" I just give it my best, 100% every time. I want to do it that well that he is proud and I want him to angrily endorse me! "

What is your best personal performing experience?
" I've been lucky to perform some amazing shows with some incredible artists but one of my stand out ones was in 2011 playing with Jamiroquai supporting Stevie Wonder at the Rock In Rio Festival in Brazil. The crowd & atmosphere were electric and the band was on fire. A real pinch yourself moment. "
What's your favourite James Brown Song?
" From a guitarists' point of view, there are so many immaculate grooves to get stuck into, it's so hard to choose a favourite JB song. I'm really loving Soul Power at the moment! "
